Global DFS

In co-operation with Global Digital Surveyors, we now offer a digital platform for both the Importer, Exporter, Shipping Line and Customs Broker to interact. GDFS is the only independent inspectorate recognised by SARS – Customs to submit the examination report digitally to SARS direct. The finding report issued by GDFS is recognised by SARS – Customs and Excise and can be used to finalise the exam or stop exam, expediting our customer’s turnaround time.

By simply downloading the DGFS application onto your phone, or any other electronic device, the importer, exporter, customs agent, etc. can by simply clicking onto the application view report, status of exam, pictures, live media of examination.

This also allows customers WORLDWIDE to confirm that the goods purchased for export comply with the contract of sale. The same as the exporter, the foreign buyer can also by simply downloading the app onto their phone, can view the actual goods loaded and therefore except the goods prior to shipping.

The same report can be sent to customs in the case where the container is stopped for examination prior to export, this same report can be sent to customs, and customs can base the finding and decision to release the goods without the actual inspection.

We believe this is the future in customs examinations and other parastatal departmental inspection, combined with a platform such as PACARGO CONTAINER DEPOT, will be the way forward in container inspections in South Africa.
